Greg Horowitt
Director, Global CONNECT
Based in San Diego, Global CONNECT is a “network of networks” focused on the commercialisation of emerging technology companies into world markets.
Greg has been integral in the formation of the CONNECT network; he is also actively involved in a number of investment groups.
Greg moved to San Diego from the Bay Area in 2001, where he served as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence for a leading Silicon Valley venture capital firm. Prior to that, he was president and CEO of a venture backed e-business software company, and has a 20-year history with a Berkshire Hathaway company. Greg sits on the boards of a number of technology companies and is also a principal at the consulting and sales management services firm Gregory Scott Associates.
Paul Butler
COO, USCOM Ltd
USCOM is a medical device company specialising in non-invasive cardiac output monitors. Paul Butler joined USCOM in 2001, and was heavily involved in the companies’ float on the ASX in 2003. His role included the development of the USCOM 1A cardiac output monitor and the development of global distribution channels. Paul has a wide range of experience in electronics and manufacturing management, having held Operations and/or Logistics roles at SCITEC, NCR and Australian Electronics Manufacturing Services.

David Buckley
Manager, Austrade
David Buckley is Austrade's manager responsible for Business Generation and Events. Based in Sydney he has oversight of all domestic events, inward visits from customers and overseas staff, the National Export Awards program and Austrade's contact centre. Prior to taking up this position David was the Senior Trade Commissioner in Canada. Based in Toronto he assisted Australian exporters in a wide range of sectors to make sales in this market. In a distinguished career with the organisation David has served in a variety of domestic roles and has had other overseas postings in Bangkok, Manila and Milan.
